Revised Commercial Electric Storage Water Heaters, v5.2 and Commercial Instantaneous Water Heaters and Hot Water Supply Boilers, v5.5 Templates

Revised Commercial Electric Storage Water Heaters, v5.2 and Commercial Instantaneous Water Heaters and Hot Water Supply Boilers, v5.5 templates have been posted on the CCMS web site. These templates align with the amended certification requirements for commercial water heating equipment in 10 CFR Part 429.44(c)(2) established in the final rule published on October 9, 2024 at 89 FR 81994.

Additionally, the Commercial Instantaneous Water Heaters and Hot Water Supply Boilers, v5.5 Template includes product group codes for the commercial electric instantaneous water heater energy conservation standards in 10 CFR Part 431.110(a).

These revised templates may be used immediately, but the Commercial Instantaneous Water Heaters and Hot Water Supply Boilers, v5.5 template must be used for all commercial electric instantaneous submissions no later than May 7, 2025 to certify compliance with the thermal efficiency and standby loss energy conservation standards in 10 CFR Part 431.110(a). For all other commercial water heating equipment types, these revised templates do not have to be used until certifying compliance with the May 1, 2026 annual filing requirement.
